A lady in my ward gave me this recipe! She has been making it for ten years for our ward.
For a bread machine
1 1/3 cup water
3 TBL oil
3 TBL honey
2 cups white flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup oatmeal
1 1/2 teas. salt
1 1/2 teas yeast
Two loaves of bread
2 2/3 cups of water
1/3 cup oil
1/3 cup honey
4 cups white flour
2 cups whole wheat flour
3/4 cups oatmeal
1 TBL salt
1 TBL yeast
Heat water, honey, and oil and pour into dry ingredients. Spoon dough onto a floured surface and knead until not sticky. Place in an oiled bowl and let rise until double in size. Shape into loaves and put in bread pans. Let rise until dough is about 1 inch over the top of the pan. Bake. Bread should be nicely browned and sound hollow when tapped.
Bake: 350 to 375 degrees
35 to 40 minutes
