This is something good that is a little different then traditional pumpkin pie. Served best with a little whipped cream or even better ice cream. Everything is better with a little ice cream on the side.
1-yellow cake mix
1-stick of butter softened, not melted
1-15 oz can. Pumpkin
1-12 oz can of evaporated milk
2-eggs
1-tsp Cinnamon
3/4 cup sugar
Preheat the oven 350 degrees. Move rack to the bottom middle rack.
Mix yellow cake mix with softened butter, reserve one cup. Press in the bottom of a buttered 9x13 inch pan.
Mix together the last 5 ingredients. Pour over the layer in the 9x13 pan. Sprinkle the remaining cake mixture over the top.
Bake 35-40 minutes.
